Why All the Fuss About President Trump?
Can someone please explain all the upset over that guy (the plump fellow with the funny hair and the brutish personality) in the White House? If I remember correctly, his name is Donald J. Trump. Why is it that everyone, everywhere, is always making such an almighty fuss about him? Ever since Mr. Trump became President of the United States, it seems that millions of people are inclined to have major fits every time he opens his mouth, but I do not see any credible reason for their constant umbrage.
It is fairly easy to perceive that President Trump is, at best, a foolhardy windbag and a shameless grafter, but the same can be said in regard to all the current leaders in our world. They are a bad lot, with thoroughly bad motives, every one of them. Any of them would gladly trade their own children (and your children, too) for the chance to put more money in their pockets. God only knows why American citizens are willing to regularly besmirch themselves by mindlessly voting for such people in one election after another.
What about the fellow who preceded Trump as President, the one with the African name and the unctuous manner? He did the same things that President Trump is doing (telling lies, breaking promises, making shady deals with Wall Street, continuing America’s perpetual wars, etc.), but at least half of America was not troubled to the slightest degree. Why was he never held to account for his glaring misdeeds? Perhaps because his dark skin allowed white supporters to feel comfortably virtuous?
Why do so many Americans single out President Trump for harsh condemnation? As bad as he undoubtedly is, he does not even begin to represent the worst of America. Any spouse, or friend, or neighbor, or stranger passing by on a sidewalk, might be as bad as, or maybe even worse than, President Trump. Actually, if the whole truth were known, anyone reading these words might be as bad as, or maybe even worse than, President Trump. Take a careful look in the nearest mirror. You might be quite surprised.
