1. Is there actually a God? That question has never been, and probably never will be, answered with any degree of certainty on this side of the eternal void, but the common evidence seen within our human experience appears to strongly betoken the unmistakable likelihood of a God, regardless of whether we are fully disposed to accept such a likelihood or not. 2. Is there actually a heaven and a hell? My father, seemingly a devout Catholic, took up with another woman (a divorced Mormon with two children) when I was twelve, and left our family in February, 1966, leading to my father and my mother getting a divorce. I had never been close to my father, so his departure, in itself, did not perturb me. After he was divorced from my mother, he soon married the other woman and moved into her house, living not far from us, pretending to be the "father" of her children, while showing no concern for the well-being of his own children, regularly failing to keep up with his obligation of paying child support in a timely manner. To people who only knew him casually, Ignatius Thrumbler was regarded as the sort of person about whom there was not much to say, one way or the other. He came across as an entirely run-of-the-mill person, with no outstanding qualities whatsoever. What those people failed to understand, however, was that Ignatius Thrumbler could, if asked, easily provide the answers to all questions, including the answers to questions that had yet to be asked. "Ask me any question, and I can provide an answer," Ignatius Thrumbler said.
