The Last Days of the Western Capitalist Empire
In March of 2022, it appears that the tide of history has now turned heavily against the West. Since early 2020, our treacherous leaders have recklessly allowed Covid-19 to spread in an unhindered manner, with newer variants of the virus regularly appearing and causing unspeakable harm. In addition to that particular instance of human sorrow, Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, chose to invade Ukraine last month, thereby adding a further element of hellish suffering to an already wretched situation, creating an unstable outlook in which a nuclear conflict could easily happen.
One can reasonably deduce that we are living through the last days of the Western capitalist empire. The unmistakable signs of a coming downfall can be readily seen everywhere. Although Western capitalism is rotten to the core, and has been in a foul condition of serious decline for a number of years, it has continued to drag itself along, manifesting its dreadful purpose in countless ways and harshly abusing everyone in its path, but it has clearly entered its final chapter, with the twin forces of contagion and war grimly vying to deliver the fatal blow, putting it out of its misery.
Most citizens of Western capitalism will be taken by surprise when the inevitable end arrives, because they have always been encouraged to presume that the empire in which they dwell is solidly impregnable, and therefore will endure in prosperity forever. They were taught, by the unprincipled capitalists who rule over them, to believe that their careless life of wanton greed and eager consumption could be sustained, happily and permanently, regardless of how irrational and corrupt it might be. That belief, however, was ill-founded and false, having been fostered by convenient lies.
As the structure begins to fail and the unsteady ground beneath us starts to give way, many people will retreat into a blind mentality of adamant denial, willfully refusing to acknowledge the evidence as it piles up around them. For the moment, no one can state, with absolute certainty, how long it will be until the fateful curtain descends on the worn-out fraud that is commonly known as "civilization," but whether it is brought about by uncontrolled disease or by radioactive destruction, the depraved empire of Western capitalism is undoubtedly approaching its harrowing conclusion.
