Israel and Palestine: A Bitter Conflict with Only One Morally Acceptable Solution

On October 7, 2023, members of Hamas, an Islamist organization with a long record of carrying out acts of vengeance in the Middle East, launched a surprise assault against Israel, its sworn enemy, ruthlessly killing a number of Israeli civilians and quickly inciting a major war that threatens to engulf the entire region. Israel, in keeping with its usual practice when challenged by enemies, has savagely responded with a fearsome display of wholesale violence toward the unarmed Palestinians who live in Gaza, the narrow piece of land alongside Israel, into which more than two million Palestinians have been herded by the Israeli government.

When Israel was founded as a state in 1948, violently brought into being by gangs of murderous Zionists who boldly claimed the territory of Palestine as their own, with malign support from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe, it was a clear instance of shameless, unforgivable wrongdoing. The unfortunate people of Palestine were brutally driven out of their homeland, permanently deprived of their liberty, their culture, and their future. As a result of Israel's bellicose origin, the Palestinians have had all their fundamental human rights crudely removed, causing them to be trapped within a hell of perpetual misery.

From the beginning of Israel's history as a state, the Palestinians have been harshly abused and unceasingly oppressed by their Israeli masters, with several generations of stateless Palestinians being condemned to live out their lives in wretched conditions of poverty, hardship, and servitude. Throughout the decades that have passed since 1948, Israel has continued to receive constant, and unquestioning, support for its abominable policies from Western nations, amounting to Israel being given a completely free hand to take whatever actions it chooses, regardless of how unjust, or how despicable, those actions might be.

The current outbreak of war between Israel and Hamas will probably go on for many months, and perhaps, for many years. Israel, under the evil leadership of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has brazenly established himself as a liar, a crook, and a warmonger, will relentlessly murder as many helpless Palestinians as it can, and Hamas, in turn, will also engage in its own wanton bloodshed, while callous Western leaders, and most of their citizens, casually observe the unspeakable horror of a heinous, ongoing instance of mass homicide, amounting to genocide on Israel's part, from a safe, comfortable, uncaring distance.

Too many years of the truth about Israel being willfully avoided by people in the West has, inevitably, created a fatal nightmare for the hopeless inhabitants of Gaza. The only morally acceptable solution to the bitter conflict between Israel and the Palestinians is, and always has been, entirely self-evident: if authentic righteousness is ever to prevail, the nation of Israel must be rejected, and the nation of Palestine must be restored. No other solution could serve to uphold the essential principles of fairness and humanity that urgently demand to be upheld, which means that no other solution is worthy of being pursued.
