The Stark Evil of Artificial Intelligence

Among the many evils that have arisen in the 21st century, artificial intelligence (commonly referred to as AI) is undoubtedly one of the worst, displaying a self-evident potential to thoroughly destroy the fundamental integrity of the human community. Unfortunately, AI is quickly becoming an unavoidable factor in the overall framework of everyday life, and, as a heinous result, has begun to stealthily degrade the most definitive elements of our collective mentality.

As always with threats to essential values, corporations lead the way in the use of AI, regarding it as a handy means of hugely increasing the already excessive return from their lucrative activities. AI offers corporations the opportunity to summarily rid themselves of their employees, thereby enabling greedy CEOs to expand their private wealth. As AI takes greater hold within the wicked realm of business, countless workers will be deprived of their livelihood.

To an alarming degree, the regular output of the media is being smoothly perverted by AI, ruthlessly infusing what we see and what we hear with falsehood, deception, and delusion, steadily causing our general perceptions to be harshly distorted and deeply corrupted. In a world polluted by the heartless, faithless trickery of AI, we will soon find ourselves at a profound disadvantage, unable to trust the information that is constantly delivered to our eyes and our ears.

Without most people even being aware of it happening, AI is forcing itself into the main structure of our lives, guiding our experience in sinister ways that, at first, are likely to go entirely unnoticed in the constant activity of daily capitalism, but in the longer term, are certain to become overwhelmingly apparent, relentlessly subverting our minds and our spirits. If we do not mount a strong resistance against AI, it will, inevitably, expand its power and curtail our freedom.

The more that AI is allowed to do our thinking for us, the more we will come to depend on it, and the more we depend on it, the more we will be in danger of losing our understanding of what it truly, actually means to be fully human. Once we have lost that precious understanding, there will be no turning back for us, no hope of reclaiming, retrieving, or restoring what we have carelessly thrown away. Our absolute value as human beings will be irreparably diminished.
